Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive procedure which uses an electric current to heat up a small portion of nerve tissue and disrupt the pain signals it would otherwise send. This ability to target the desired tissue and thereby reduce collateral damage, is behind its popularity as a treatment.
